Strathclyde 1998 / 27 Years Old / Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal World Cup Bottling
The last time the Tartan Army had the pleasure of travelling to watch Scotland compete in a World Cup was back in France 1998.
To celebrate our national team back on the world stage after 28 long years, what could be more fitting than a whisky that was distilled back when we last qualified?!
Filled back on October 6th 1998, these casks have been maturing patiently. And now - like Scotland - their time has come.
Distilled at Strathclyde Distillery across the Clyde from Glasgow Green, you’re hit with waves of toffee and bubblegum on the nose, pure custard slice on the palate, and a satisfying semi-dry spice on the finish.
Safe travels to the Tartan Army.
Alba Gu Bràth!
